Pharmaceutical Analysis

Advancing the science of drug formulation, delivery, and dosage design to develop safe,
effective, and patient-focused medicines.

About the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis

The Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis at KLE College of Pharmacy, Belagavi, focuses on the science of identifying, quantifying, characterizing, and ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical substances and products. The department offers a two-year M. Pharm program designed to develop advanced knowledge and practical expertise in modern analytical techniques.

The curriculum covers advanced pharmaceutical analysis, instrumental methods, pharmaceutical validation, bioanalytical techniques, quality control and assurance, food analysis, and the analysis of herbal and cosmetic products. Students gain hands-on exposure to analytical techniques and instrumentation used for drug identification, impurity profiling, degradation studies, stability assessment, and quality evaluation.

The program also emphasizes research methodology, biostatistics, journal clubs, seminars, conferences, workshops, and industry-oriented training. Through a combination of classroom learning, practical training, and research, students develop the analytical skills and professional competencies required for careers in pharmaceutical industries, research organizations, regulatory bodies, and academia.
